It is with great pride and pleasure that I welcome everyone to the annual Philippine
Fiesta of Victoria.

This cherished tradition is the highlight of our community calendar, eagerly anticipated each year. A two-day celebration that showcases our rich cultural heritage. More importantly, it serves as a wonderful opportunity to enhance our sense of community involvement and encourage voluntary participation.

This significant celebration marks the 42nd anniversary of the PFVI, a testament to the remarkable achievements of the Filipino-Australian community. It represents the realization of a long-held dream: The establishment of our very own Philippine Community Centre.

This historic milestone reflects the unity, cooperation, and hard work of past and present committees, as well as the broader Filipino-Australian community. Together, we have made this vision a reality.

Fiesta is a treasured celebration for those who believe in unity, friendship, and cooperation. This year’s theme, “Sama-sama sa Sariling Tahanan” (Together in Our Very Own Home), embodies this spirit. We come together with joy and pride to showcase the richness of our heritage while encouraging the Filipino-Australian community to connect and collaborate with multicultural groups and the broader Australian community for cultural aesthetic exchange.

As we come together for this traditional fiesta, let us join hands in joy and gratitude. Let’s celebrate with open hearts, united in purpose and pride.
